First Zest transition session takes place at Priscilla Bacon Lodge

On Saturday 25th January, we hosted our first Zest transition drop-in session at Priscilla Bacon Lodge.

Zest is a ground-breaking initiative bringing together children’s and adult services to support smoother transitions into adult care. We welcomed staff from East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) to support families throughout.

Sessions are currently taking place monthly at either Priscilla Bacon Lodge, Tapping House, or the Louise Hamilton Centre.

They offer young people and their families a chance to:

  • Meet those who may be involved in their future care
  • Connect with others on the same journey
  • Enjoy fun activities and a chat over a cuppa
  • Share feedback to help shape future services

This pilot scheme will run for 12-18 months, and we are excited to grow and adapt based on families’ experiences.
