Art workshops in the garden return for 2025
Join artist Jess Morgan and our Head Gardener, Jack Mackenzie, for monthly art workshops in the garden, celebrating the positive effects that gardening, creativity, and the natural environment can have on personal well-being.
Our workshops are inclusive and open to all, offering the opportunity to discover and engage with nature in a relaxed and welcoming environment. You will be guided through the gardens at Priscilla Bacon Lodge during a series of unique, creative workshops focusing on colour, light, texture, movement, and perspective.
The events will cover a range of activities, using simple resources that can be taken away to continue work in your own time.
The themes for each workshop are:
- Monday 12th May – Drawing and Mark-Making
- Monday 2nd June – Paper-Making Using Botanicals
- Monday 7th July – Myth and Symbolism in the Garden
- Monday 28th July – Lino Print
- Monday 1st September – Bee Bricks
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear, as most sessions will be outdoors.
The Friends Café will be open for refreshments and toilet facilities are available.
